  After Effects CC finishes render prematurely during Premiere playback

  Hi all,

  I’m experiencing a somewhat frustrating issue with AE CC, and I’m wondering if anyone else is having this problem. I frequently jump back and forth between AE and Premiere in my workflow, so they’re usually running simultaneously. I’ll make an animation in AE and then immediately jump over to Premiere to import it.

  My problem is that if I’m rendering a sequence in After Effects and I jump over to Premiere, the moment I playback my timeline, anything that is currently being kicked out in AE finishes rendering prematurely. I hear the ding noise to indicate a successful render. But it’s not successful because it’s only a fraction of the actual length.

  Is this a setting somewhere or a bug? I’m thinking the latter, but I’d love to know if anyone else is experiencing this.

  Have you checked the rendered movie instead of the Timeline?
