Can anyone PLEASE guide me in how to recreate this effect in AE? I’ve played with duplicating layers, adding a screen, and adjusting my curves but it’s not the same!! I want to be able to recreate this so badly and I really need some professional guidance. I’ve attached a photo with I’m trying to achieve. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE show me the way! Thanks!!

Looks like Echo but with color on each instance…Alternatively, you could create the same look by duplicating the layer 2 times and colorizing each one how you want it then reducing opacity and offsetting the time to manually create that Echo effect.

Thanks, Jason. That’s great advice. Do you have a suggestion for how they colored it? Do you think they just messed with the curves on each duplicate? Thanks again!

There are probably 18 different ways you could color it in After Effects, but it looks like only the stripes are affected, so maybe a change to color effect?
