I’ve looked at FAQ’s and tried different ways of asking google, but no answers to this simple task. I’m an AE newbie. I have a static shot of a pint glass with beer pouring in it. I want to add a logo on the glass (the logo being the title of my movie) and I want it to seem like it’s actually on the glass, with the right distortion/shape/warp/light/opacity/etc.

I think I know how this would be done in Photoshop, however with the motion in the background (the beer flow) I would need to do it on the footage which is in motion, so I’m not sure how to do it in AE.

Any guide on how to do this is really appreciated.

    Thank you,
    Marc Wiltshire

It sounds like your glass is static. So your Photoshop layer should work. You’d just want to play, perhaps with opacity or blending modes … https://helpx.adobe.com/en/after-effects/using/blending-modes-layer-styles.html

I agree with Mike. If you can build it in Photoshop, and the shot is static or even not moving around too much, just bring in a Photoshop layer and play with the blending modes. If you need to track it, then there’s help for that on the cow too.
