  Screen replacement_AE_Mocha

  Hi 🙂

  Okay so here is the deal. I have tried tracking in Mocha(that comes with CS6). Tried the AE trackers and even 3D camera solve in AE, can’t seem to get a smooth screen replacement. Either I’m using the techniques wrong or I am not aware of a technique.

  Have a look at the clip. The green screen is supposed to be replaced.

  If anyone you think it is possible to do it with either something I have already tried or something I haven’t, do let me know, more importantly HOW?

  Thanks Roland! 🙂 I finally changed the take but it did help me.

  Although there is a new issue now..when I use the insert clip option in Mocha, things seem stable..once i export the corner pin data to AE it doesnt seem as smooth anymore.. any advice?

  Hi Prem, check the following likely causes –
  1) frame rate of the clip in mocha and AE must be identical
  2) pixel aspect ratio of the clip in mocha and AE must be identical
  3) duration of the clip in mocha and AE must be identical
  4) ensure that you pasted the tracking data in AE at the frame where your clip’s in points is in mocha
  5) ensure that your insert clip’s dimensions are identical those of the tracking clip

  If the issue continues, then try exporting the other Corner Pin (CP) tracking data – there are two types of CP that you can export from mocha to AE.

  Ah thanks man! I was using a an intermediate codec for tracking because the original files were R3D files, I think this solves it 🙂
