  • Changing the color on portions of text

Posted by Eric Harvey on December 2, 2013 at 9:39 pm

I have a long transcript that is set to audio. I want to highlight portions of text at a time by changing its color from black to white. I have tried using the range selector, but I do not want it to scroll the color through. I simply want a few sentences to fade from black to white then fade back out to black and so on. Is there an easier way to change the color on portions of text overtime?

Duplicate text layer, change color to white, animate masks and opacity to have the words you want change in and out to white. That’s one way of doing it.
