Activity Forums Adobe After Effects currupt .aep file???

    My project has gone currupt! At leaste thats what i think. Is there a way to fix this, or to recover it??? anyone? it happend with no reason! one minute it worked just fine, next minute it coudn’t open the project.

    Try to import it into an empty AE project. This often can fix things.

    no doesn’t work!!!! grrrrrr
    i keep getting the message “after effects error: missing data in file. (33::4)”
    don’t know what that meens?

    I had the same thing happen last week. There was no way to fix my problem. I called Adobe and they told me I was hosed. Sorry man. You can also try holding down shift when you open the file I think.

    Good news is, it’s quicker to make the second time!

    … and less of a pain when you save new versions of the file incrementally. The time between saves is proportional to the amount of work you’re willing to re-do in case of a crash. Incremental saving is easy in 6.5: hit ctrl-alt-shift-S.
