  DVX100B – doesn’t connect to computer

  Hello everyone,

  I know this is 2018 and I shouldn’t be using a DVX100b, but I bought one anyway and have been enjoying it a lot along with the Letus extreme adapter. The one problem I’ve encountered is that I simply cannot retrieve the footage… I bought a FireWire to USB cable, which I’ve plugged into my MacBook Pro via a USB-C hub (and I tried the official Apple USB 3.0 to USB-C adapter too), but whenever I try to import, it simply does not notice the camera. I tried Avid, I tried DaVinci, I tried LifeFlix and I tried iMovie. None of these seems to recognize that my camera is plugged in.

  My question is: has anybody ever tried to get footage from the DVX100b into a recent Touch Bar MacBook Pro? Should I try to find someone with an old computer?
