  Up Rezzing Varicam

  I have an older Varicam (HDC27fp) I’ve been using for some time. Since I do a lot of freelance corporate shoots around the Pacific NW, I’m now adding a DSLR and a little P2 either the 170 or the new 250. Most of these folks are now asking for 1080 footage; so It’s my thought to buy either the KI Pro or Pix 240 to uprez the 10 bit Varicam signal to 1080, as well as make the DSLR footage more friendly to edit with in FCP. Does that sound like a good solution to extending the use of the Varicam while add more camera options to the mix? Has anyone looked at footage using that type of uprez?
