I’m not sure where to ask this so please forgive me.

All the hard cases I’ve seen for Varicams and lenses are the typical studio style hard cases with metal latches and metal edges. I’ve always been a fan of pelican but wondering why I’ve never seen it used for cameras and lenses.

Is there a reason I should not use a Pelican case for storage/ shipping of the high value items? I’ve found the foam inserts to be great for protecting my still cameras and lenses.
