  HDX900 directly to FCP

  I’m sure this question came up before. From a HDX900, can I record directly to FCP into a MacBookPro via firewire in addition to the tape in the camera? And if this is possible, will it create a new clip anytime the camera starts and stops?

  Yes you can go straight into FCP from the HDX900.

  You will have to manually hit “capture now” in the Log & Capture window to record the signal though cause the camera and the laptop cant control one another.
