Anyone able to extract Scene Data using a Camera Morph tag and have it work ok? When I use the camera morph tag the camera does not import correctly, it is only using the last camera in the morph sequence. Other cameras are working fine, but it would be nice to use camera morph in cineware.

    field,

I don’t think AE can work with camera morph tag…
You can bake the camera morph to keyframes using the Bake objects command

Timeline – Functions – Bake objects

Than import that keyframed camera to AE..

    Works here.

    In the Timeline:
    1. If you have View>Show>”Show Animated” enabled… Disable it. This will show the camera object in the timeline.

    2. In the Timeline, Select the “Morph Camera” Object… Not the “Morph Camera” Tag (Which has the animated Blend).

    3. Select Functions>Bake Objects… Bake.

    4. Import C4D file into AE, Add to scene, Hit “Extract” in Cineware.

    5. Done

This is kind of working for me. I’m morphing between two cameras but each camera has a different “focus distance” parameter. In the bake dialog box I have the parameter checkbox checked but the baked camera only has the “focus distance” of the second camera and no keyframes for that parameter. Can’t find anything in the help files for the bake objects function that explains what the parameter checkbox is suppose to do.

Found the answer on how to bake properties of the morph camera here https://monoplex.tumblr.com/ look for his blog post about “Baking Camera Morph”

Right Click the “Morph Camera” (in the timeline – not the tag) and choose “Add Property Tracks” and add Focal Length and Focal Distance. In the bake function you need the parameter check box checked.
