  syncing 1400 and hdx900

  I feel like this is a question answered somewhere else, but I wasnt even sure what to search for. My searches came up empty, so if theres already a thread on this point me to it and ill be out of your hair.

  Im trying to dub a tape. My boss wants to play out from a HDX900 to a 1400 deck. I know, I know, this is not a good idea, but I just do what the bossman says. Anyway, Im wondering how to sync the TC between camera and the deck. I plugged in the TC out of the camera to TC in of the deck and then looked through the menus of the deck trying to sort it out to no avail. Any help you can offer is appreciated.

  actually not a bad idea, as you are able to clone, as opposed to dub, the copy via firewire from camera to deck. the single wire will carry video, audio and time code.
