  P2 – LH1700W – HD-SDI output

  Just wondering if I could convert the P2 content by:
  Playing out P2 footage into the Component Input of a 1700W monitor then feeding the switched out of the monitor to a 1200a.

  Would I be able to do that? It would be great to archive. I don’t care about TC. Just want to get it to tape.

  Any info would be helpful.

  You can output to tape via firewire….no need to go thru the monitor.
