  • How much drive space do I need for 10 tapes

I just shot a short hd varicam narrative.
We shot Ten “FujiFilm DP-121 DVC-PRO Tapes- 126”
I’m trying to figure out how much drive space I need to get.
I was thinking of a 500 gig drive (and an additional for backup).
this is for an “offline” edit. I would like to capture the highest possible quality that a LaCie or G-Raid firewire 800 can handle.
    Any advice?
    thnaks,
    Michael

Will you be posting on a Final Cut Pro system with a Panasonic 1400 or 1200a deck via firewire?

I’m not sure the deck model.
    But I know it’s DVC-PRO HD/Panasonic and has a firewire out.
I don’t need to capture “uncompressed” as my drives are only FW 800
