Is there a menu setting I’m missing somewhere that will allow the 1400 to downconvert HD footage to SD through the HD-SDI output? I found how to do it through Firewire, but I’d like to have the option to do it through SDI as well. Or, does the downconverted signal only come through the SDI output?

    Thanks

    Matt,

If it’s like trhe 1200A, which I believe it is, the downconverted output comes out the SD spigot; assignable as SDI or NTSC.

My bad, it comes out the SD/SDI spigot.

Thanks John. I was hoping I missed a menu setting somewhere that allows both to come over 1 cable. Looks like I’ll have to schedule some engineering time later this week to hook up SD-SDI afterall.

? Simply take the HD SDI output and move one whole BNC down to the SD-SDI out. You need an engineer for that?
