  HDX900 SDI Interface

  Does anyone know if the SDI output of the HDX 900 is uncompressed 10 bit?

  Hello Pat:

  Yes, the HD-SDI OP from the HDX900 is uncompressed 10 bit 4:2:2 if the camera is “live”. You can thus record to uncompressed devices or a D-5 if required. During tape playback this HD-SDI OP is reduced to that of the tape format ie 8 bit and somewhat sub-sampled and compressed.
