  Single Frame Recording-HDX

  Does anyone know if the HDX 900 can record single frames (like the SDX with pre-record board), or does it just do bursts of 10+ frames which need to be FRC’d out (like the Varicam)?

  The HDX900 does single frame recording just like the SDX900, it uses a memeory cache then dumpsl that to tape once full. The VariCam has no cache and thus performs “mini-assemble edits 10 frames at a time,
