Help with an effect idea
I have an idea for an effect but I’m having a little trouble trying to realize how create it.
I want to take single line of text or two, no bigger than say two words and have it break apart into bands of lines. These lines then seperate out from the center and move away from each other.
You then reverse this process so the bands come together to form the text, which is my ultimate goal.
I guess the closest thing I can think of to this effect would be they way they transport people on Stargate with those rings. Think of the rings as bands that glow and undulate, eventually comming together to a sold band that is a line of text.
Any ideas or suggestions? So far I’m looking at the card wipe than apply the motion tile effect to the text but I’m not necessarily getting the desired effect.

Another aspect of the idea to refrence is how the warp core undulates in Star Trek Next Generation. The pulses glow brighter as they come closer to the center of the core.
