    Hello,

I need to capture from Varicam at 23.98 fps. I want a board capable of discriminating flagged frames and capturing from the 59.94 fps source only the 23.98 flagged frames that we need as this will be blown up to film. Has anyone tried this with the AJA LH?

    I’m working with a dual 2.3 G5 (PCI-X)
    3 GB RAM
    3 500gb G-raid firewire 800 drive
    FCP 5.0.4
    QT 7.0.4

    Does anyone see any problems?
Any comments or experiences will be appreciated.

    Thanks in advance, Alex.

I’ve captured straight from the Varicam with the Decklink HD Pro card and FCP5 with no problems. But I haven’t used the AJA LH card. Just make sure you’re recording tape also, otherwise there won’t be any flags and the computer will capture the wrong frames.
