Does anyone have an estimate for the storage capacity needed per minute or per hour for Varicam footage imported via Firewire 800? I need to buy more drive space and need to find out how much to get. I have approximately 11 hours of footage. Thanks in advance.

    ps. I’m importing at 24fps(23.98)

According to the very cool free widget Videospace for OSX located at https://digital-heaven.co.uk/videospace/

11 hours of 24fps DVPROHD 720p60 footage takes up 235.7GB

11 hours of DVCPro HD at 1080i60 frame size and 23.98 frame rate with 2 tracks of 16bit 48khz audio will take up about 465Gb of storage.
You can go to aja’s website and scroll down 1 page to utilities and download their free data rate storage calculator.
