    Hi there,
I’m trying to paste a mask shape into the light source location property of Light Factory to have the light follow the path of the mask. It pastes fine but the resulting animated flare is way offset in X from the original mask position. I can’t offset the layer afterwards to compensate as it cuts off the flare. My only other option is to keep moving and guess the position of the original mask X position to compensate for the flare offset till it lines up correctly. This trial and error is taking a bit of time. Could anyone tell me why the paste is offsetting in the first place?
    Cheers,
    Phil

Ensure that the layer where you draw the mask shape in has the same dimensions as the layer you are pasting it into.

Masks are calculated before any transformations under normal Render pipeline rules. If the affected layers are of a different size then you will get translational issues due to the fact thath you are working under two different spatial spaces.
