Is it normal that you’re unable to save the VTR compression settings ?

It always reverts to Normal when the camera is powered down. Doesn’t seem to save to the card either.

Yeah, unfortunately it’s normal. Kind of makes it a useless setting. 🙁

    Actually, that deserves another 🙁

The biggest 🙁 of course will be when Panasonic releases a fix for this and I have to ship my camera to LA for a week or so. How this one got by qa testing is beyond me. Prehaps there just isn’t enough non volatile memory for more settings without a hardware upgrade ? Boy, that would suck. Hopefully someone didn’t have thier coffee one morning and forgot to include it in the to be saved list.

I reported this issue to a Panasonic repair tech. He confirmed the problem and is awaiting a response from the factory. Can anyone at Panasonic shed further details on this issue.

    Thanks,
