    Hi Everyone,

I tried to find if this was already addressed, but didn’t see it. Apologies if this is redundant.

Recently switched from minitapes to cards…bought the HMC150. While the card holds 32gigs, when transferring it takes up to 4x that amount of hard drive space. Does this sound right? I am using FCP 7.

Any help would be greatly appreciated as my projects are now taking far too much space and I want to make sure this is right.

I copy the contents of the sd card from my HMC151E by simple click and drag, it takes up exactly the space it took on the card. I copy it to my “chips” directory and immediatly copy it to backup! I then import into Premiere.

Thanks, but I’m using FCP. I think premiere reads the .mts files., FCP doesn’t so I have to convert using apple res 422 to make it .mov.

Does anyone know if what I am doing is the best way?
