I’ve been wondering something for a while. I am very cautious about editing AVCHD, with it’s odd structure. I am ok with renaming clips at the base level 000001.mts to take1.mts for example, but I’m confused as to how or whether to *delete* these bottom level clips without screwing up the PRIVATE directory underpinnings and its’ “database” of the shots.

Does anyone definitevly know whether I can always delete, say the bottom level clip, like 00001.mts without screwing up the rest of the clips?

I hate using that stupid utility that comes with Panasonic cameras, it’s worthless in my book.

What are others using to effectively delete unwanted clips?
