I am looking at renting a camera in Montreal, and they are quoting me on a Panasonic DMX100A. Is a DMX100A the same as a DVX100A?

I’ve never used this camera before – I will be recording a 90 minute seminar. Are the XLR inputs line or mic level? Thanks…….

I’d guess they don’t know what they’re talking about. Ask to see the camera. I suspect it’s a DVX100. That said, it should be quite cheap as those cameras are worth much less than they once were with all of the HD alternatives presently out there.
