AVCHD and FCP problems
Purchased a new HMC150 last week. Love it. At home I have a iMac OS 10.5.5 with FCE. At work I have FCS2 on an Intel with OS 10.4.11 – FCP 6.0.5 recently upgraded from 6.0.2. Also available is a Powerbook with FCP 5.1.4 and a G5 with FCP 5.1. I take the SDHC card out of the 150 and into a reader on the iMac. Imports fine into FCE. Footage looks great. Burn the 3.78gb file from the SD card to a dvd. Bring the dvd and camera to work. Connect the camera to the Intel and FCP 6.0.5 recognizes it and imports the footage. Later I try transferring the the footage from the dvd. FCP 6.0.5 does not see it. On a windows machine I download the AVCHD transcode software. Put the dvd in, the software sees it and transcodes the the footage to P2. I point FCP 6.0.5 to the CONTENTS folder along with the Lastclip text file, FCP 6.0.5 does not recognize it. The Powerbook and the G5 with FCP on them have no problem with the transcoded files. The footage comes in as if it was a P2 card. A demo of Raylight even sees them. What could be the problem with 6.0.5? Like I mentioned I just upgraded to 6.0.5 last week after I got the camera. I have never had any problem with FCP before. I trashed the preferences with FCP Rescue, but that did nothing. Any insights. Thanks in advance.

Reinstall FCP and then apply all OS X updates.
