Problems with my remote control
I have just tried to use my remote control for the first time. I set it up properly, in VCR 1 on the menu, but I have hit a problem. It works in playback, zoom mode, reverse – everything except record. No matter how many times I press the record button and playback button together, as per the instructions, it won’t work. Is there any magic combination of buttons I must press that I haven’t thought of, or do I just have a malfunctioning remote?
As an experiment, I reprogrammed the camera and remote to VCR2 but I hit the same problem.

Forgive the obvious, but your tape isn’t record protected is it?
Also, I don’t have my 100 in front of me, but I do have a 200 on my desk. Isn’t there a start/stop button above the zoom control on the remote? Did you try that button?

Tim, You’re a genius.Why doesn’t it say in the instruction manual that you don’t put the camera into record mode by pressing “record” but by pressing “start”!
