    Dear Filmmakers,

Thanks you in advance for your help. I need to do a shoot for broadcast. They OK’d the DVX-100 for the shoot mainly because of its 24P capabilities. Here is the issue. While I love the DVX-100, we need to do a walking tour and I really do not like the way the small camera “handles’ while moving. It is very last minute as the shoot is tomorrow, Friday. If I had advance notice I would have purchased a stabilizer, but at this point there is no time.

My question is I normally shoot with the JVC-DV5000. A full size camera that I am very comfortable shooting with. Can I transfer this footage into FCP and convert it to 24P? I have the Nattress Film and Conversion effects. I would much rather shoot with the DV5000, but they specifically asked for 24P with the DV5000 does not do. Do I need to dump back to a 24P capable camera? (ie the DVX-100)

Any help is GREATLY appreciated. If I am posting in the wrong column any direction is appreciated. Thanks again.

try increasing your shutter speed in 24p. Makes a big difference in the motion strobe.
