  shooting a match igniting

  I’ve mostly only shot interviews in studio lighting with my DVX100B and am looking for some suggestions/ideas on settings/the best way to get good shots of the following:

  a match lighting in a dark room with the focus being on the match igniting and a second or two of the flame burning;

  different objects or areas in a dark room being illuminated for a second or two by a light source.

  Any suggestions appreciated–thanks!
