    Hi –

a client has asked me to recommend a camera kit totaling $5K.

In addition to the DVX100b, but I’m wondering what is the a “standard/go-to” mountable light/sungun model
that would be considered essential for a run&gun dv shooters kit. I’ll probably also recommend a wireless lav as well, but I’m wondering if I’m leaving anything else out. I’d love them to get a wide-angle lens, but I’m not sure it it’ll fit into the budget. Anything else??

Also, (in the nyc are) anywhere they should think about purchasing from other than B&H?
Thanks – Your advice is greatly appreciated.

LED lights are something to look into for easy use.

    Thanks – anything more specific?

I told them that the Sony HVL-20DW2 is pretty standard,
but I know its pretty clunky.

I am a fan of the Lightpanels, but its too expensive, and
is only effective for closer stuff.

    Thanks
