I am shooting a film with the DVX 100A and want to shoot in squeeze mode, since we will be framing for 16X9, and since we may very well transfer to film, I want it to be shot 24p Adv. My problem comes in trying to get this footage into Final cut Pro 5. FC5 has a capture preset for DV adv. (2:3:3:2) pulldown, and DV anamorphic, but doen’t have one with both together, ie. a DV Adv. Anamorphic

Has anyone come across this before? I am going to try posting this on a FC5 post as well.

    Thanks
    Chris.

Use the 24p A preset and then click the Anamorphic checkbox in capture and playback.

    Perfect. Thanks for the help!!

I have another one now though. I can’t get full device control at all with my DVX100. I know, probably shoudn’t be using it as a deck, but it should still work. Final Cut pro will play , fast forward and stop the camera, but it will not display the image and it will not allow me to capture. I have the camera’s DV out set to on in the AV in/out setup, but I can’t get Final Cut to see the machine. Any ideas on that. Thanks again.

    Chris.
