  portable audio field mixers?

  my expereince is w/ a sony dvx150/170 camera.

  the pre-amps are nothing to speak of.

  how do most folks work w/their dvx100a?

  do u rely on the camera’s pre-amps?

  do u use a portable mixer?

  if so, any recommendations?

  the sound devices 2-channel has a solid reputation but for nearly $700 is it overkill?

  anyone use/recommend rolls? psc?

  darn, i just can’t stand when u are forced to pay for quality…

  …unless i’m the one being paid!
