any good tripods for the DVX??
Posted by Frosch on October 30, 2005 at 8:11 pmCan anyone recommend a tripod that would work well with the DVX and approx how much it would go for? I’m just curious to see what works the best and how much i should spend.

October 31, 2005 at 1:11 amThanks for the insight. now that i think of it, a buddy of mine has one of the manfrottos for his gl2, it is a good tripod. Rob did you decide on the dvx100a yet? My vote is buy it if you can still get that rebate. Doesn’t seem like the 100b has that many great upgrades, but that’s just my opinion.

October 31, 2005 at 2:05 pmBy posting that site I was not trying to suggest any particular reseller. I was simply pointing to a page with the product on it. That is CDN pricing. IN the future I will post directly to the manufacturers page.

October 31, 2005 at 9:34 pmI use the Miller Solo system ($1300 at B & H, but currently out of stock) and while pricey, it folds up quite small. The legs are telescoping, similar to a still camera tripod, and I was able to stow it in a duffel bag and check it on a flight to Florida. It’s heavy enough to provide stable pans and tilts, but light enough to travel well.
