  Trying to hook up a, shall we say, rather inexpensive, Radio Shak lapel mic using the RCA inputs. Doesn’t work. Impedance problem or just cheap crap? Hey, it took all the pennies in my wine bottle just to get the DVX! Works on my handy, dandy zr-20. Thanks in advance.

  Sometimes you get what you pay for.

  And remember, nothing ruins well shot video faster than bad sounding audio.
