HVX200!!!
Just got the new Film and Video mag and on the back it had an ad from Panasonic saying they are going to unveil their small HD camera at NAB next week. Unlike JVC and Sony’s, which use the highly compressed HDV codec, the Panny with be using their DVCPRO HD codec and will capture just about all the resolutions and frame rates.
NAB will be interesting. HD for the small production company is going to hit hard this year!

Sounds like a good cam but….it looks like it will have a fixed lens. We’ll get a good look only at NAB.

simillar to the DVX100, there is some post on the new Pana P2 forum, I didn’t notice at first that it is a P2 camera which I don’t think would work for me. would like to see a tape version or even a DV50 version of the DVX100.

I’ve seen the New panasonic HVX200.. lets just say it’s awesome, looks just like the DVX100A, ..P2 Card slots, Mini DV, HD..
I was told not to say anything.. but.. Let’s just say Im saving for one now. -
How can we really “believe” you on this one? I guess we will all know in a few days…
