open and exporting P2 audio tracks?
I have a problem and I thought I would start on this forum to see if anyone knows a way to fix it. I have P2 footage shot(Hpx_170) to a Firestore drive that I’m trying to edit in Avid Media Composer5.5. Over the years Avid always has had problems with Firestore P2 and this time will play the file but not let me export,transcode, consolidate or even mixdown the audio(some error message “Invalid samplesStillOutstanding etc. etc.”). I only need one of the 4 P2 audio tracks. I would like to find a way not only to open the MXF P2 footage, but have the ability to isolate one of the audio tracks and then hopefully export or transcode the audio track so that I can then import to Avid and finish the edit. Quicktime will open the P2 files but mixes all of the audio tracks down to one track.I’m on Mac 10.6 OS. Does anyone know if this is possible?
