So I have a last minute shoot that has come up. It’s a strange one…

I own and operate my trusty old HVX200a which I still love. I got a call from an AV company for a 2 camera job where they were originally brought in to provide coverage to an overflow room. They are using a Panasonic AW-HE50 pan and tilt camera. The job has evolved and the client is now interested in producing a DVD with 2 cameras cutting the service together. That being my HVX200a and the AV company’s HE50. I’d edit the DVD together.

I’m not familiar w/the HE50 at all, I know it’s a pan and tilt system, but I don’t know anything about the quality or how will match/look against my HVX200a. I looked at the specs and see it has 850 lines of resolution…but it’s HD?

Has anyone used the HE50 at all and has anyone tried to match it up w/a 200 or 170?

    Thanks,
    Scott
