  • Is the AG-HVX200P Windows Compatible?

Posted by Anne Richardson on August 9, 2012 at 9:48 pm

I have an AG-HVX200P and I cannot download the video since I got Windows 7. Panasonic told me it probably wasn’t compatible and to use a P2 card. Would this solve the problem? I’m thinking that I wouldn’t ever record more than an hour at a time. Would 16GB be enough?

I just recorded a video (the one that I can’t download) and the sound is horrible. There is so much room noise. It sounds like an echo chamber. What am I doing wrong?

    so much missing info here.

Did you try hooking the camera to the computer?
Was your footage on Tape or Card?

Do you have a Card reader?
Have you installed the P2 Drivers for your op sys?

    Do you have a mic?

Yes, I hooked the camera to the computer via the firewire cable. I was able to get “device control” in Premiere CS4, but no audio or video.

Was your footage on Tape or Card? Tape

Do you have a Card reader? No

Have you installed the P2 Drivers for your op sys? No

Do you have a mic? Only the mic on the camera.

OK, so set your video specs in premiere to match what you shot.
    DV NTSC 48k for example.

I don’t know what I did wrong the first time, but I started with a new project file and it worked this time!
