FCPX P2 importing failure
FCPX 10.0.3 is not importing some P2 clips …. all clips play back fine on the camera and even tried to repair clips it said nothing to repair …..
I go from Import from camera > open archive > select all the clips ( all clips play fine in here) > import > then I get a Import Failed box “the following clip encountered an error during import and is still referencing media on the camera: …. some clips import others get the import failed message
I tried importing form P2 card direct as well as the main and back up drives
Any ideas ….

I have just worked 10 days with FCPX 10.0.3 and P2 in DVCProHD 720p24 and AVC Intra 1080p24 without any issues.
Where is your event stored? Have you tried a different volume?

I have been having similar issues. No problem with previous FCPX until 10.0.3. I shoot DVCProHD (which Apple claims to support+ at 29.97, 720pn. Suddenly with 10.0.3 update I am unable to import P2 media from HPX170. Final Cut reads them fine from the camera, but will not import. I tried changing card readers, computers – no difference. The new version of FCPX does not like the HPX170. Furthermore, Apple has removed it from the compatibility list! Will Apple remove the roadblock or will Panasonic deliver a firmware update for the 170?

I am going to be getting the New fcpX, I have a Panasonic Hvx 200.
Do you think there will be any issues with uploading P2?

Just started having weird import problems with my HPX 170 on import into FCP X. Video is fine, but audio gets deleted or thrown whololy out of sync, seems to be so with 10.0.7 and 10.0.6. Anyone else still having similar problems importing from P2 cards?
