  HPX170 red exclamation point

  I have read a dozen or so posts about “repair clip” to try and fix a clip, but I cannot find that function on my camera. I’ve checked the manuals and the posts and nuttin.

  Can someone please guide me in a step by step process to repair clip? When I select the clip with the X! on the camera, the thumbnail menu doesn’t give me any repair clip option.

  A clip with an X in the camera can’t be played if you change the recording format. Change your recording format to the one you used with that clip and you’ll be able to play it (the ones you can actually play will have the red mark then).
