Dumb question. I’m a new HPX 170 owner and I can’t seem to get my recording setup on my menu to DVCPRO-HD. I only get to DVCPRO50. The menu doesn’t give me the HD option. What am I doing wrong. Thanks.

In Recording setup, select any of the 720 or 1080 options to achieve DVCPro HD.

Steve, thanks, that’s what I was thinking. Really appreciate your help!

No Problem. As you can see, only 480 allows you to choose between DV, DVCPro and DVCPro 50. That is why when you select 720 or 1080 it is blue.

    Hi Steve:

Panasonic recently repaired my camera and reset all my settings (which I didn’t want or ask them to do).

Now even when I set my Recording Format to 1080i/60i, it still says “480i REC MODE” for the Record Mode and has it set at DVCPRO50, which is in blue and can’t be changed.

I need to have it at DVCPRO HD. What can I do to get it there?

    Thanks much,
    Martha.
