  HPX370 toggle white balance

  I am trying to find a simple way to change preset WB color temperature with a HPX 370. Naturally, I can do so in the menu, but the manual claims-“When you have no time to adjust the white balance-Position the WHITE BAL switch at PRST Turning the AUTO W/B BAL switch to AWB toggles the color temperature between 3200K & 5600K”
  I have tried this with seemingly no effect. What am I missing?

  One of the 3 user buttons can be designated for Auto WB.

  Thanks Chris, but WB is not one of the choices assignable to a User button. Assignable choices are REC REVIEW, SPOTLIGHT, BACKLIGHT,ATW, ATWLOCK, GAIN:24db,YGET,DRS, TEXT MEMO, SLOT SEL, SHOT MARK, MAG A LVL,PRE REC,PC MODE,WFM, FBS.
  I was looking to see why I could not toggle using the process described in the first post of this thread.

  Thanks but I am not looking to use the Auto Tracking White function. I was just looking for a quick toggle without going to the menu as indicated on page 56 of the manual – “When you have no time to adjust the white balance-Position the WHITE BAL switch at PRST Turning the AUTO W/B BAL switch to AWB toggles the color temperature between 3200K & 5600K”
  When I do this there is no toggle.

  The way it’s set up is the Prst button can be set to: 32k or 56k you choose.

  Now, you can set up one of the user buttons for Auto White – so so do that.

  These are your choices…

  Set your white balance switch on the side of the camera to PST (the Preset/A/B switch)
  Then toggle your white balance switch on the front of the camera up. Each toggle of the switch will switch the preset white balance between 32K and 56K (indoors/outdoors or tungsten/daylight).
  It will get you close in a situation where you can’t get a proper balance.
  FWIW, the preset outdoor balance is a bit warm for my taste.
  A proper white balance is always the best.

  Thanks Tom. What you suggest is exactly what I tried. And when I tried I saw no change in the video being captured nor do I see a change in color temperature setting display.
  It’s not really a big deal, because I will always white balance for a scene and changing conditions. It was just that I saw this described in the manual and I could not get the result expected when I followed the procedure. The ability to toggle the WB preset would be handy if I arrived at a location and had to instantly start recording without having time to perform a proper white balance. Doesn’t happen often, but I thought the toggle would be similar to just rolling in a filter

  I have an ag-hpx370. I don’t know what you changed in your settings but if your wb is on prst, you toggle between 5.6k and 3.2k by lifting the W/B BAL switch up.. UP.. not down…
