  HPX 170 on PC

  I’ve been working with a client that has been giving me Sony HDV video he shot for some research he’s doing on a product. I’ve edited what he shot, but working with the HDV has been difficult. I’ve been using Panasonic DVC Pro HD and P2 stuff on my Mac in FCP. He is now ready to buy a P2 camera (HPX170).
  The question is: He wants to download the P2 footage to his PC so he can look at scenes while I’m editing. Can he do that on a PC? All he wants to do is look at what he shot, and maybe clip a couple scenes together for his boss to look at. What does he need to do that?

  You can view P2 clips on PC with Panasonic’s P2CMS software available for free at Panasonic’s web site here: https://panasonic.com/business/provideo/support/resource-center/software-downloads.asp?cm_sp=Provideo%20Site%20Promotions-_-Right%20Hand%20Promo-_-Popular%20Downloads

  Remember to install the P2 drivers first
