P2 to MPG conversion from AJ-HDP2500?
Hi all,
I operate in a studio setting where we are doing 2-5 studio shows a day. We have been mastering to DVCPro for quite some time and are looking at tapeless and the HDP2500 is our closest solution that won’t completely change how we do things. The only issue is I need the file at then end to be a MPEG-2. Does anyone have an idea on how to convert the file exported from the 2500 to an MPEG2 with little or no extra work?

I’m not sure this is what I’m talking about. The 2500 can export a P2 file AFTER I’ve recorded to a P2 card. It’s not a realtime capture I’m looking for. It’s a workflow to end up with an MPEG-2 after recording to a P2 card on a HDP2500.
