Windows 7 x64 & P2 Card Drivers
Hello all,
I am trying to get a Dell Precision M6500 laptop with Windows 7 x64 working with Panasonic P2 cards. This laptop has a Cardbus slot and ExpressCard. I’ve downloaded the driver package from Panasonic’s site and when I attempt to install it, I get a message saying that the driver is not digitally signed. If I proceed anyway, the cards do not work. When I reboot, the system will not boot unless I hit F8 and tell it to Disable Driver Signature Verification. It’s not a case of a corrupt download.
Is anyone else running Windows 7 x64 with P2 drivers? The Cardbus drive is different from USB, PCIe, etc.
Opening the driver p2cache.inf file shows driver version is “07/24/2008,2.3.8.0724” and p2cata.inf shows driver version is “DriverVer=07/24/2008,1.0.8.0724”. Those seem really old. Have they not updated the driver for Windows 7 x64?
The problem here is that I use Premiere Pro CS5, which is ONLY 64-bit.
Any help would be great!
