  • FCP shows different compressor for my P2 clips..?

I’m on a project that’s shooting on the HVX-170 with settings at 1080i/24PA, DVCPRO.

I notice that when I transcode into Final Cut 7 with the “Native” settings in Log and Transfer window, the compressor listed in the browser reads DVCPRO HD 1080p30.

Anyone know why this gets changed from DVCPRO? I’m especially curious because of our shooting at 24PA not 30.

    Thanks.

    Chris

    [Chris King] “1080i/24PA, DVCPRO”
There is no such thing as that, if you are shooting 1080 (or 720p) you are shooting DVCProHD.

If you are shooting 24pA, make sure that remove duplicate frames or pull down is checked in the preferences and you will have 23.98 clips.
