Hello, I am confused about what db level I’m actually recording on our camera. I’m recording through a shure mixer, outputting around 0db, and wondering what this translates to db wise in the camera? I manually adjust the input levels in the camera to be between the 2 notches on the right side of the audio viewer, but my editor still says my audio levels are low(around -20 db in fcp). Any help is appreciated, thanks,
    k

We normally let the audio peak two bars to the right of the right-most indicator. But be careful not to clip. Our audio guys always run a brickwall limiter on their mixer to prevent this.
