  HVX200 into Macbook pro (2007) for Ustream

  I am trying to stream from my panasonic hvx200 to my macbook pro (2007) using ustream producer but can’t get a picture, I tried the 1394 firewire to no avial.

  then i downgraded the output to SV 480i using the firewire cable but still no picture,

  It looks like a need to take an analog or s video cable out of the camera, but how do I bring it into the macbook, is there a special converter that mac sells or something else?

  Yeah, you can’t stream via firewire…and you can only get SD out of the Component connection. And for that you will need a capture device…something that works with a MacBook Pro with Express 34 slot. Matrox MXO2 Mini. Or, since you can only get SD, a Canopus AVCHD 110…converts analog to DV.
