  Rendered footage in dolby digital pro 5.1 but theatre only picks up L & R channels (2 speakers) why?

  Hello,
  I have a showing in a local theatre, I rendered my footage in dolby digital pro 5.1, but the theatre speakers will only pickup the audio on 2 speakers right and left. How do I get all speakers to pick the audio?

  Did you ask the theater what sounds files they can use. Does it have a 5.1 system? Many do not, they are Pro Logic systems that the surround sound embedded in a stereo stream.

  How did you render your 5.1, what were you using?
