  P2 timestamp

  Does anyone know of a way to maintain the original timestamp that is created on the P2 card in the camera when importing footage. When the footage is imported it generates new timestamp for when the file is transferred losing the original stamp.

  The naming convention for the files on p2 seems to be not related to chronology or anything else that I can gather.

  It is more efficient to be able to quickly go to a part of the day that you were shooting because that’s how your mind remembers the shoot. So if you could sort it by time “that would be great” (Office Space reference)

  As Jeremy said…timecode is what the camera uses, and that is chronological. And the naming convention is too. 0001HDC, 0002HG6, 0003PH4…etc
